Methodology & coverage
Source: SEC EDGAR company facts and recent submissions. Standard US-GAAP USD facts from original 10-K and 10-Q filings are used. TTM values equal the latest annual figure plus current year-to-date figure minus the comparable prior-year figure. Amendments, custom tags and foreign accounting standards are not supported. Missing or ambiguous values remain unavailable.
Annual history still uses original 10-K periods of 350–380 days. ROE uses annual net income divided by average beginning/end positive equity. FCF proxy is operating cash flow minus reported capital-asset purchases, using property, plant and equipment purchases first and productive-asset purchases as a fallback. It is not a standardized SEC line item or automatically distributable cash.
Approximate ROIC uses TTM operating income after the reported effective tax rate, divided by latest long-term debt plus shareholders’ equity minus cash. It remains unavailable when tax, pretax income or invested-capital inputs are missing, when the effective tax rate is outside 0%–50%, or for financial-sector companies. Interest coverage uses absolute reported interest expense. Book value per share uses latest reported equity and shares outstanding.
Quality and risk metrics use the same SEC-derived TTM and annual observations. Cash conversion, debt coverage and per-share growth remain unavailable when required denominators or positive endpoints are missing. Per-share growth is suppressed when the annual share series changes by more than twofold or less than half, which avoids presenting likely stock splits as operating growth or dilution.
The DCF discounts five years of editable cash flow and a perpetual terminal value at the required equity return. When available, the form starts with SEC-derived TTM FCF proxy and latest shares; the investor must normalize the proxy toward FCFE. Debt is not subtracted a second time. Bear/Bull growth is Base minus/plus 3 percentage points; other assumptions are held fixed. The sensitivity table varies growth and required return by one-percentage-point steps around the base. The range is not a confidence interval. Margin-of-safety price is estimated value × 80%.
